Generally, anyone who completes five years of creditable Kentucky service is eligible for an annuity at a point determined by the rules for that member’s account type provided that the account has not been refunded.

If you discontinue employment in a TRS-covered position and do not refund your account, you should contact TRS concerning your eligibility for future retirement benefits.
